Dallas restaurants close after Tropical Storm Harvey

DALLAS—The restaurants of Dallas-Fort Worth’s downtown area shut down for the third time this week amid Hurricane Harvey.

Restaurants across the city were placed on lockdown Wednesday morning, with the exception of Daley’s, which opened at 6 a.m. local time, as the storm’s eye began moving inland.

Daley the Chicken, a popular Dallas eatery, said it was closed until Friday.

Dade County has declared a state of emergency for all county and local governments and is planning to open up emergency shelters in areas of low-lying buildings.

The National Weather Service warned that Harvey could bring flooding, tornadoes and mudslides to the Dallas area.

DFW police are still investigating the death of a 23-year-old man who was killed by a vehicle as the city of Dallas was under evacuation orders.

New York restaurant hotspots, restaurants and restaurants of New York

New York restaurants are popping up in every corner of the country.

And, like many of the city’s iconic landmarks, they’re starting to draw crowds from around the world.

Some of the most popular eateries around the city are listed in this year’s Restaurant News Index, which is an annual ranking of New Yorker restaurants.

Here are the top 20: 1.

The Bistro: New York’s best-known bistro and dining destination, The Biscuit Shop opened its doors in 1940 in the former Biscuits factory, which was closed in 1962.

It now features two eateries, a bar and a coffee shop, which all opened in 2014.


The Brasserie, Brooklyn: The Brassiere opened in 1950 and was known for its lobster rolls.

Its owners opened the restaurant in 2011, and in 2018 they moved into a larger space.


Baked Alaska: This popular restaurant in Brooklyn, which has locations in both New York City and Los Angeles, has had a large presence in the area since it opened in 2013.


Denny’s: Denny Shakes started in Manhattan in 1963 and has since expanded to the East Coast and the rest of the world, with locations in New York, Chicago, and Los Vegas.


El Bulli: The El Bullis is a neighborhood restaurant and bar that opened in Brooklyn in 2000.

It now features a bar, a wine bar, and two outdoor dining areas.


The Gourmet Burger: A burger joint in New Orleans, the Gourmet has a small, intimate dining area and offers the best burgers in the country, including a cheeseburger and an order of fries.


The Big O: This restaurant in Dallas was named the best restaurant in the world in 2017 by Restaurant News.

It has locations across the country and has earned accolades from The Wall Street Journal and Fast Company.


The Keg: This Chicago restaurant opened in 1970 and is the oldest continuously operating restaurant in North America.

It’s also one of the oldest and largest, serving more than 2,000 people each night.


The New Orleans Kitchen: The New, is a family-run restaurant in New England and is named one of The New York Times best restaurants.


The Pint & Shot: This New York-style restaurant has been on the menu since 1962 and is known for serving up cocktails, soups, salads, and sandwiches.


The Pig & Barrel: The Pig and Barrel was opened in Dallas in 1969.

It is one of only two restaurant chains in Texas, and it is one-third owned by the owner of the Dallas Cowboys.


The Pizza Hut: In 2018, Pizza Hut opened a restaurant in Chicago, Chicago Pizzeria.


The Peanut Butter & Jelly: This Washington, D.C.-based chain was founded in 1965 and has locations all over the U.S. 14.

The Pretzel Bar: Pretzel is a small bar in Chicago that has been serving Pretzels since 1968.


The Sloppy Joe’s: This Dallas-based chain, which opened in 1963, is one in a long line of American-style restaurants.

It was also named one for “Best Pizza in America” by the Chicago Tribune.


The Sweet Shop: In 2017, the Sweet Shop was awarded the top restaurant in America for its burgers, which are made with a unique blend of ingredients and have been voted the best in the U “America.”


The Terrible Burger: This chain started in Boston in 1969 and has been making its mark ever since.

It opened in 2019 in New Jersey and in 2021 in Texas.


The TGI Friday’s: A Chicago restaurant that opened just three years ago, the TGI Fridays has been a staple of the Chicago food scene for many years.


The Union Jack: This famous chain of restaurants opened in 1789 in New Amsterdam, New Jersey.

It became a national landmark in 1972, when the company was acquired by McDonald’s.
