Trump signs bill to cut Gulf Coast restaurants
NEW YORK — President Donald Trump signed into law Thursday legislation to cut off funding for Gulf Coast establishments.
The bill was first announced on Twitter by Trump on Tuesday and was later reported by The Associated Press.
It reduces the annual Gulf Coast Restaurants Association of America fund by $500 million over 10 years.
The money is intended to help Gulf Coast restaurant owners compete for business, according to a press release.
It also eliminates an annual fund to support Gulf Coast businesses by $100 million over the next 10 years, according the AP.
