When a restaurant owner’s son goes on the run after being accused of rape and murder, he’s not the only one in need of protection
New Orleans — A New Orleans man has been arrested after a woman accused him of raping her when she was 14 years old and then murdering her with a knife, authorities said Thursday.
In the latest twist to the case, the 17-year-old accused gunman in the brutal killing of Samantha Davenport, 17, told police he had “sex with the victim and stabbed her repeatedly with a butcher knife,” according to the NOPD.
Davenport was found beaten and stabbed in the back of the head on Aug. 16.
Davies, who was charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping, was arrested at his home Thursday afternoon and booked into the Orleans Parish jail on a $2 million bond.
He has no previous criminal history, police said.
He has a history of violence in the past, including assaulting a woman with a hammer and a man with a gun, according to police.
